Long Mead Meadow with Burnet and Astilbe

This diptych comprises two paintings which are both scenes from Long Mead meadow, a floodplain meadow, on the banks of the Thames near Oxford. This haven for nature has been cut for hay for over a thousand years and is one of the most species rich sites in the country.
